No referral is needed to book a therapy or counselling session at CWCP. You can contact us directly or book online. No doctor’s note required. If you have extended health benefits, you will want to confirm whether a physician’s note is required by your insurer for the purpose of benefits coverage.

Most extended health benefit plans cover therapy with a registered psychotherapist or a registered social worker. Check with your provider to confirm whether your coverage includes a provincially registered psychotherapist, registered psychologist, or registered social worker (RSW only or MSW / RSW).

Individual sessions can be 50- or 80-minutes in duration. Relationship sessions are typically 80-minutes in duration. Family therapy is typically 110-minutes in duration.

Yes. CWCP is proud to offer 2SLGBTQIA+-affirming care. Many of our clinicians have lived experience or specific training in queer-informed, gender-affirming, and anti-oppressive approaches. We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where all identities are honoured and celebrated.

Yes, CWCP offers virtual therapy sessions via a secure telehealth platform. Online therapy is a flexible option for clients who prefer to receive care from the comfort of their home.

Your first session can take anywhere between 50 - 80 minutes. During this session, you and your clinician will discuss your presenting concerns (i.e., why have you reached out for counselling services), your background (e.g., family, medical, social, etc.), gain a general understanding of what you seek from counselling, and identify how our services might support your process. You and your clinician will decide on the frequency of meetings.

Yes. CWCP is fully accessible for individuals with a range of mobility needs. Our clinic is located on the second floor of 491 Church Street and can be accessed through a street-level, graded entrance with double doors, one equipped with a push-button opener leading directly to an elevator.

We offer mobility-accessible, all-gender restrooms and treatment rooms designed to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for all clients.
